X Factor UK on AXS TV

X Factor UK is now being shown the day after its UK showing on AXS TV here in the US.



Simon Callow is the only judge that I know. They are going through the audition phase now. The first episode was last night, the second one is tonight.



On Verizon FIOS, it is channel 569.

FIOS to TIVO

Thinking of switching to Tivo from FIOS Quantum.

Right now I have the Main Media Server box, and 3 Mini type boxes.

Overall not a bad experience.

I'm wanting to get a Roamio Plus and 3 Minis.

Has anyone switched over and whats your take vs FIOS?

Also a big feature I want to make sure Tivo has is if I record any TV show, HBO movie ect on the Tivo, I can either stream that show to my iPad when I'm out of town or even Download that movie to my iPad and watch it without an internet connection, like on a plane.

This download feature to my iPad is a main reason I want to switch, so I just want to make sure this feature works without any other 3rd part software.

Finally, I understand I need just one Cable Card from Verizon, one CC will give my Roamio the ability to record multiple shows??

And then there is the question of monthly vs lifetime.

I've done the math and spend about $650 a year in FIOS rental fees, and if I buy the Tivo boxes and lifetime it would take me about 2.4 years to break even. But since these Roamio boxes are a year old I'm not sure if I will hang on to them past 2 plus years.

If I run "Restart Guided Setup" will my SCHEDULED Recordings in the Season Pass Manager be deleted?

Need help with Sonos PLAYBAR remote code for Premiere

I am using Premeire with a Sonos PLAYBAR.



This has worked out well but I am having an issue where the volume starts dropping on the Sonos PLAYBAR over time.



I've learned that I need to program remote code separately for the PLAYBAR which could solve this problem.



Has anyone done this? If so, do you know which remote code specific to Sonos PLAYBAR that should I enter?

Can I still get a lifetime transfer/discount?

I have an original Philips TiVo that I bought way back in 1999. I remember that at one point I was able to get a 199 dollar credit towards new lifetime service on a new premier.



Anyone know if I can still do that?



I'm about to upgrade everything as I am moving away from direct tv and going ota and Netflix/Hulu.



A 200 dollar discount on a new Roamio would be sweet.



One quick note. Amazing how the original TiVo unit has only now after 15 years given up the ghost. And it was the modem that crapped out, not the hard drive! Something to be said for those low revving 90s drives and longevity I guess.
