Amazon Video aspect ratio issue

Hello all,

I rented a film on Amazon this weekend through the app on Roamio and noticed an annoying quirk with the way it handles aspect ratios in relation to the ZOOM button setting.

The film is Deathgasm, which is listed with a 2.35:1 aspect ratio on IMDB but it filled the frame on my LCD meaning it was displaying at 1.78:1 (16:9). We noticed the opening titles and text graphics (which were close to the edges of the frame)...

It's been quite a while since the android app has been updated and it still needs a lot of work regarding bugs, etc. Is it still currently being developed?

reliable 2.5" drive for Tivo Bolt?

I've now killed 2 of the Samsung/Seagate 4TB drives, in under a week each, it's obvious to me that these cheap laptop drives cannot stand up to the rigors of DVR usage, spinning 24 X 7 with heavy usage.

This is the drive, FYI:
Samsung Momentus 4TB SATA III 5400 RPM 2.5-inch Hard Drive (ST4000LM016)

Has anyone found a RELIABLE, 2, 3 or 4TB 2.5" laptop drive to expand their Tivo BOLT reliably? If so, I'd like to hear about it, I am getting tired of setting up these drives and re-doing...

JMFS V1.04 Trouble after new motherboard was installed

Just Got a New ASUS Prime-Ar motherboard which has a new Intel raid controller and the new 270 chipset now when I tried to boot the jmfs CD it says unable to load the system description table. Im not really experienced with linux and liked this version because it of its simple menu driven interface. All I want to do is expand an image to 2tb with mfsadd on a premiere series 4

Netflix poor quality

Has anybody seen poor/inconsistent picture quality on Netflix Tivo app in the past several weeks? My Roamio ethernet is hard wired to a 10Gbps switch, and ISP speed is 65Mbps. Other devices on the same switch see full port speed and full internet speed. However, Netflix quality is extremely variable. Starts out ok, then drops very low every few minutes, then back to good quality. Used to be good for hours at a time in months prior.

What are the obstacles for TiVo to create and sell an IP based machine?

I know there are cable companies out there that aren't required to use Cable Cards because they deliver video over an IP based system. One of our local providers, SkyBest, is one of them. I believe this is called IPTV. I am not talking about streaming services like Netflix or HULU.
