Curious about overlapping recordings

Did the last update actually "fix" the overlapping recording bug where recordings on the same channel would glitch, or do they still have it using two separate tuners when recordings overlap? I'm just curious, because I notice I have zero problems with such recordings these days and was just wondering why it works :-).

HBO GO requires more than a cable card

I have a Roamio Plus with a Comcast cable card and premium service including HBO. I all works great, including HBO.



Comcast told me that I'd need a set top box IN ADDITION to the cable card for HBO GO to work.



Could this be true?

Retiring HP Media Smart - PyTivo strategies

I am finally retiring my Media Smart home server... I had been considering building a new server, but since the HP has been freezing lately, I thought it was most prudent to offload my files to a new NAS - I chose the WD My Cloud EX2.



What I am really going to miss is my ever faithful pytivo service running... I will probably move it to the last desktop standing, but it isn't always on and definitely less convenient...



Still trying to decide the best solution - any thoughts?

Roamio Reboots all the time

I just wanted to get folks opinions on what I should do. I bought my Roamio Plus in November and used it without any issues at all on Verizon until May. We moved in May and the box went into storage (in the original packaging) until the beginning of August. I just set it up here on Comcast and it seems to be rebooting every 15-20 minutes or so. I am assuming it is a hard drive issue. Any other thoughts? Any way to troubleshoot further? I am assuming there are no more cable card reboots still happening these days?



If it is the hard drive, do I send it back to Tivo and pay $49 or do I just take the $49 that I will sink into fixing the tivo and buy a new drive?

Bright House Orlando - Channels Off by One

Just thought I'd post this for anyone who might be having the same problem. Bright House is aware of and working on the situation where all the channels are off by one. This is not a TiVo issue, so don't call TiVo. It appears to be a problem with the tuning adapters. Bright House is working the issue.
