Surround switches to Stereo for no reason..?

I have had my Premier for about 4 years now, and it has always acted strangly with switching from Surround to Stereo and back to Surround (5.1) when I just do random things with the remote. Here are some things that I remember often cause the surround to switch to stereo:

These are pretty consistent. But it happens other times as well. And the surround sound doesn't come back until I use the remote again. I am not sure exactly what causes it to come back. It is all pretty random I think. Has anybody else reported this??



Is there an Audio Settings guide anywhere? I just have the audio going in to my Onkyo 5.1 Audio Video Control Tuner Amplifer and out to the speakers. It is set to Dolby Surround Mode. I have my Tivo sound settings set to:

Audio:

Alternate Audio: Stereo

Dolby Audio: Dolby
