Why must Customer Service use Subterfuge

Customer Service must be taught to lie effusively. Unfortunately for your customer service representative, I am not. "button pusher" and I am over 50 years of age. Thus, I have the ability to think abstractly and can comprehend obtuse matters. My Premiere was not showing Amazon video as an available resource after years of having that available to us. Initially, the Customer Service Rep told me it was a problem with Amazon and that I should contact Amazon. Then when I questioned this, she said that she sent me an email on how to change the settings on my Amazon account. Then when I read the email and told her there was nothing about Amazon in the email, she had me change the Interface on my box and up popped Amazon video. Unfortunately, the HD interface has caused me undue problems in the past, and Tivo has done nothing to alleviate this issue other then telling me to purchase an upgraded box. I purchased a second home and when it came to choosing a DVR service, I went with Time Warner Cable's DVR rather then Tivo simply because of TIVO's nefarious and fascist like Customer Service. Time Warner Cable stinks, but that lets you know what I think of Tivo. The new technology business giants have become the new Fascists & I hope they become as extinct as the Third World dictators did at the end of the Twentieth Century.
