I was reading another thread on the forum whereby someone was discussing a Series 3 and the compression Comcast uses and the fact that the device wouldn't be able to support it in the near future. Here is the quote:
"You are correct that your Series 3 will become unusable on Comcast in the relatively recent future, since Comcast will be switching from MPEG-2 to H.264 compression, which your TiVo doesn't support. So you will need to upgrade."
So it got me thinking...I have a TiVo Premiere that I am going to reactivate my subscription on as I haven't had it in awhile. Will the Premiere support whatever compression FiOS uses? I'm not familiar with what FiOS uses and what the Premiere supports. Thanks!
