Bolt 500GB (false?) MoCA Network Problem

I have a Bolt 500GB I previously set up as a MoCA Client and it worked fine.

When I set it up as a MoCA Bridge it says

MoCA Network Problem
There is a problem with your network settings. The TiVo box was
unable to connect to your MoCA network. C33

This feels like a false/incorrect error message to me as I am asking the Bolt to act as a bridge, not a client, so it shouldn't need to connect to a MoCA network, it should be establishing a MoCA network, bridged onto the ethernet I have it...
