HBO GO won't activate

Out of the blue HBO go asked me to activate my device....again. After five activation codes and "success" notifications....it still isn't working. I can easily access it on my computer but my Roamio Pro just won't cooperate. This is not the first time this kind of issue has occurred since it became available on TiVo.

I've also had to reauthorize Netflix recently and (fingers crossed) Amazon works fine but....HBO is not working. I've checked all the usual sites to see if HBO GO is working or dow or whatever and apparently it is...but not for me.

Maybe it's the Solar Flare or the Black Moon... or who knows, but once again it only seems to be a problem with the TiVo platform....again.

If it wasn't 2 AM here, I would be shopping for another streaming platform.

Color me...Sick and tired

Skip mode shows up but doesn't work

For the last couple of days the "Skip" indicator is showing up next to the recordings but it doesn't work. Nothing happens when I press the "D" button to do a skip. The "Skip" shows up but nothing is working when pressing it? Anyone else have this happen and what did you do to correct it? I've just deleted all my one passes and re-created all of them again to see if that works.

MacGyver S01E02 "Metal Saw" 9/30/2016

For some reason my station aired a one hour show called "Dalton" starting the guy who played Nick on CSI and the lady who played Root on Person of Interest. So I'll review that show instead of MacGyver.

It wasn't as funny this week as last, though I did laugh when they put the word "fuel" on screen while constructing these awesome fuel bombs that exploded on contact with their pursuers, and when they constructed a plasma torch out of a car battery and a nickle and used it to cut through three inches of solid steel. The handy list of materials will help me construct one in my garage. But the laughs were few and far between, separated by boring action sequences with Dalton and his sidekick MacGyver. I'm not sure why they're spoiling comedy with action.

Sadly, it was more entertaining than this week's Blacklist.

Bolt MoCA setup Ethernet question, PLEASE HELP!

I'm a newb, but I can't understand what i'm missing here. I have a new Bolt that I set up out of the box with Ethernet only to get it up and going. Now I want to set up MoCA for my Mini's. My problem is that during setup, it says "In order to to enable MoCA networking, you must first unplug the Ethernet cable fromt he back of the TiVo box. I do this at the prompting, click OK and it goes through a sequence and eventually fails the setup. When is the ethernet cable supposed to be plugged back in during this procedure. I have tried not plugging it in all during the procedure, right after hitting OK, in the middle, but none of it helps. It's like it wants it unplugged, but then it's looking for it to be plugged back in at some point?

Please help, i'm getting frustrated and I know i'm missing something obvious!

How to archive shows to a DVD recorder

Hello, i have a digital cable TV roamio. I would like to connect my Liteon standalone DVD recorder to the unit and as I play programs on my Tivo, record them to DVD.

The thing is the Roamio only has a yellow A/V input. So I tried using a yellow RCA cable, but the body surrounding the pin is so big, it won;t allow the pin to be inserted fully?

Is there anyway to do this?

Thank you.

Automated method to batch process TV episodes from DVD for use by PyTiVo?

I have a collection of TV show episodes on DVD (4 DVDs) that I'd like watch via the TiVo (Roamio) in my home gym. For the sake of argument let's say I have the decrypted .VOB files already ripped onto a hard disk on my Windows PC. Is there software available that can process the collection of .VOB files into a collection one episode-per-file .MPEG files?

For example, I have six .VOB files containing three episodes of the show ripped from the first disc, and the first episode ends part-way through the second of the six .VOB files. I can combine the .VOBs into a single file, make copies, and trim the beginning/end as necessary, but that's a lot of work for four disks and thirty episodes.

Is there an easier (automated) way to process the twenty-plus .VOB files into thirty individual .MPEG episodes? I have VideoReDo. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Recording Won't Delete

Hello,

Recently I added a OnePass to my TiVo, a few days later, I went back to watch episode 2 of that OnePass and I noticed that it would not stream, to my iPad. Eventually I attempted to watch the recording on the TiVo, it was then that I noticed that it was partial recording.

I attempted to play the partial recording only to have the TiVo say that it could not play the recording because no valid signal was received on the channel at the time, which is odd, because it was only NBC. I bet comcast had some drama.

However at this point, I just wanted to delete the recording and I would catch the episode on a streaming service, however the TiVo will not delete the recording no matter what I try.

Thus far I have tried the following, all of which however don't seem to work:

-Delete on the Roamio
-Restart the Roamio, then delete
-Delete via the iOS apps
-Delete via KMTTG

All of those efforts fail. How can I delete this bogus recording, please help. thanks.

-Mike
