Putting old Tivo Roamio Plus hard drive into new Tivo Roamio plus?

So I'm getting my Roamio plus exchanged out from Tivo. My question is this:



Can I take the hard drive out of the old Tivo and put it in the new Tivo? That way all my programs, settings and seasons passes are all setup?



Or is the Tivo motherboard/MAC address etc information on the hard drive and it will get confused with this conflicting info?



All the information I see is for upgrading a hard drive from a current working unit.
