Been having intermittent internet issues where my internet cable modem resets and stays down for hours on end.
But a thought just occurred to me regarding my current placement of my POE filters.
I have a POE filter where cable comes into my home. I have a POE filter where the cable comes into my tuning adapter.
I have two modems, a Motorola SB6141 which has POE built in it. This modem is used for my internet connection/service.
I have TW's Cisco Modem for my phone service but I don't have a POE filter in front of that modem. I didn't think I needed on there since my Motorola has POE built in and my TW modem is just used for my phone connection.
Am I wrong in this thinking? Should I have a POE filter in front of the TW modem too, even though all it's supplying is my phone service???
