Hello everyone,
This week set up a new Roamio base model with one mini. Everything seemed to be working fine on both devices.
Yesterday I went to watch TV and everything was stuttering, frames out of whack etc. Went to the roamio, no problems. Just the mini had issues. So I started to look at my smart switch for configuration issues regarding the ports both of those devices are on and nothing looked out of the ordinary and bandwidth was well below what I would expect to cause dropped frames on a network.
Then it dawned on my, the night before last before bed I was messing with the video output on the mini which is connected to my 1080p Sony LCD TV. I had changed the output to 1080p pass through. I changed it back to automatic (1080i?) and the stuttering went away.
So, if anyone has issues like this, it may not be a network issue it could just be a timing frame issue with the video output of your tivo/monitor etc.
