I finished watching the 10 episodes of Season 1 today. Overall I enjoyed it, but I admit a few times it was going off in just pretty strange ways that left me somewhat less than interested for a while.
I guess that's sort of my problem with it. It felt like it meandered more than it seemed to have a real plot. And by the start of the 7th episode I was pretty certain how it was going to play out and end.
Overall, I like Paul and his preacher character, but feel that church was a bit too lacking in depth to be as interesting as it might've been. But character-wise the preacher is otherwise a nice touch of sleazy and addict. Keith seemed to be a bit too "touched"-in-the-head psycho, but I guess that's maybe the thing we're to contrast with when considering Pernell's own bit of hallucination-crazy.
I'm not going to care much if we don't get a season 2, though. I'm sorta fine with it being over. Though I'd watch a second season if one comes about.
