I have done a little bit of reading and my understand is you cannot get multiple Roamio's to work in tandem, can this be confirmed? I currently have one Roamio Plus and 3 Minis, and sometimes we have conflicts and mini's won't have an available tuner without manually canceling a show. Which is ok I guess for now.
However, I am moving into a larger house that will have 8 TV's at a minimum, possibly 9 or 10. They won't be used at the same time, but it's very possible 4 - 5 at a time plus recordings. One Roamio can't really support this usage.
I LOVE that our recordings travel to every room, but I guess a few of the TV's don't need access to our recordings (outside, kids and guest rooms). While the main adult TV's would share recordings (master, living, office, theatre).
So I was thinking about getting a second Roamio. When adding mini's on the same network, do you simply select which Roamio to link the Mini to? Does this sound like the best way to address this?
It sure would be nice if Tivo would allow Roamio's to work together and share recordings, but oh well.
Appreciate any insight!
