OTA freezing, then rebooting

I picked up an OTA & Mini about 2-3 weeks ago.

Both devices were connected by CAT 6 to the same NetGear Gig-E switch. The OTA was upstairs as I tested an antenna inside the house, and the mini in the equipment room downstairs.

Both boxes worked fine for 2-3 weeks. Then this weekend I put the antenna up on the roof, with the feed going into the basement near the equipment rack. So, I swapped the Mini & the OTA.

Last night while I was watching a show that was recording, the OTA just hung, then went through a reboot. After it came back up it looked like it didn't have a network connection. The "recommended" tiles at the top of the homescreen weren't there, and the system wouldn't let me do anything to move away from the home screen.

A few minutes later it rebooted again.

After a few cycles like that, it came up appearing to be normal. But when I went to the guide, the stations were there but there was no program info for anything. Then it hung and rebooted again.

*sigh*

I ended up going to bed a bit later, and this morning I tried again. When I fired up the system everything looked normal. Right up until the point where it hung, then rebooted again.

I'm bringing home another switch to try, just in case there's something wrong with the one I've been using. I doubt that's the case as the Mini was working fine on the same cable connected to the same jack on the switch.

-> Has anyone heard of any problems @ Tivo?
-> Could this actually be a problem w/ the OTA?

I suppose I could also give up on the Mini for a bit, and try WiFi on the OTA. I'm just now sure how eliminating a couple of layer 2 hops will change anything either way.
