I just bought a TCD746500 with lifetime cheap :)off Ebay.
I have never had a TIVO or even operated one.
1. What do I need to do to get it up and running fast so I can see if it works ok?
2. Will the current owner have to do anything to transfer lifetime service or do I just contact TIVO with numbers on the unit?
3. I use Comcast, any tips on how to deal with them? Should I just show up at a service center with my set top box to return and ask for a M card?
4 I have a second Comcast tuner in a second room ($6 monthly). To replace it, if I buy a TIVO Mini will I also need a TIVO Stream? And would I also need to setup a MoCa network since the 3nd tv is no where near Ethernet?
Alternatively, my first Comcast Cable set top box is free (non-DVR), If I keep the one box perhaps I would only be charged for a second cable card for the TIVO and would not have to buy a Mini, Stream, and MoCa setup.
5. Any tips would be very much appreciated! Thanks.
