Can I swap a hard drive?

I have a 2tb hard drive that was in a bolt I sold. Can I put that drive into a different bolt?

I am assuming it will start up but I will have to do the "clear and delete everything" option before it will work correctly like my series 3 did. Is that how the bolt works too?
