Do I need to disconnect from the wifi network prior to the end of the service contract?

My Bolt will be ending the year service in a couple of weeks and will not be automatically renewing at that time. If I want to still use the Bolt's tuner for live TV do I need to disconnect from the wifi network prior to the end of the service contract?
