Jerky Fast Forward on Tivo Bolt

On my Tivo Bolt, the 2x fast forward is very jerky and almost unusable. The 1x and 3x fast forward works just fine. The 2x fast forward used to work fine on this Bolt.

I don't have this issue in my Premiere XL at all (same video feed to both Tivos).

It's been this way now for several months. Does anyone have any idea why it's busted like this or what I can do to fix it?
