Unable to play certain shows

I'm having two related issues. There are certain recorded shows that will not play. When I select the show and attempt to play it, either by pressing the play key on the remote or selecting play in the menu and pressing select, all that happens is the screen blinks and leaves me on the screen I tried to play from.

Sometimes the "My Shows" list shows the correct program in the listing, but the wrong program in the image and description on the right side of the screen. See image attached....
