Hello all,
I just upgraded my Tivo Premiere drive with a 3TB WD AV-GP drive. I cloned the drive with the Ross Walker instructions using the Premiere JMFS Linux Boot CD ISO.
The process went very smoothly and took just over 2 hours to clone the drive, expand, and supersize it.
The final volume boots in the system perfectly and reads that I have 401 hours of HD capacity. With calculation I came up with a total of 421 hours (properly using binary 1024, etc.) and the new Roamio 3TB system says it has 450 hours.
I just wanted to check that my 401 hours is inline with what others were seeing with their 3TB upgrades? Not that I'm complaining . . . 401 hours is far more than the previous 45 hours. ;) I know the Roamios boot from flash, so is this where the extra space went?
