UPDATE: I found the thread and it appears this issue was fixed in XP service pack 3. I guess I don't need to worry. Sorry for bothering people. k.
Hi, everyone. I just took a Western Digital drive out of a Series3 (648250B) so that I can test it. (Tivo is doing a constant reboot during power-up.) I seem to recall reading a message in one of the forums that warned about booting up in some version or other of Windows with a Tivo drive in the computer because Windows would trash the boot sector or something.
This drive will be installed in hubby's computer for testing. Computer is running Windows Server 2012. Can anyone offer any advice before I install the drive in his computer and do something bad to it?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
