I currently have 2 Tivo Premiere XL's in my home, and enjoy being able to flip back and forth between 2 live streams by clicking on the LIVETV button. This is fun and convenient where you're maybe watching one show (i.e. Shark Tank), a commercial begins, and then you switch to the other tuner to perhaps see what the score is on another sports channel (ESPN). In this scenario, I may or may not be recording either show on either tuner.
I recently purchased a 6-tuner Tivo Roamio PLUS and am thinking about having this be the main living room DVR and then buying a TIVO MINI V2 for the bedroom. So I am wondering if this setup would allow me to allocate 2 tuners from the ROAMIO PLUS to the bedroom MINI so that I get a similar dual LIVE TV experience as I have been getting with the 2-Tuner Premiere XL.
Is this possible?
I know that you can specify how many TUNERS a ROAMIO makes available for other devices in a home network. But in a scenario where you have one ROAMIO and one MINI, can a MINI simultaneously access 2 live streams and allow you to toggle between them both at the same time?
