HELP with getting shows off of outdated Tivo device...

My dad has an OLD TiVo device that he has kept only because he has a few shows saved on it that he doesn't want to lose.

It is a Series2 DT -- anything we can do to pull these off of the device so he can upgrade? Any screen capture devices or ways to get it onto a laptop?
