Is it me?
I went through all the guides online, but I haven't called tech support yet.
My original Tivo was constantly rebooting, so after a lengthy process of elimination, including getting a new power supply after which it continued, I decided to bite the bullet and get the $149 replacement as my Roamio is long out of warranty.
Now I have the new Roamio (which has rebooted several times over the weekend...but that's another thread) and when I press the "back" and "Tivo" buttons standing about 2 feet away from the Roamio and with the "pairing" window open on the TV screen, nothing happens.
I have tried both "back" buttons, since the tech writer in his or her wisdom decided not to specify WHICH back button to press along with the Tivo button, but in either case, after 30 seconds, the little light on the remote remains dark and won't blink red or amber.
It was working perfectly on Friday morning with the old Roamio in RF mode, but now refuses to do anything. All I get is the terrible line of sight IR which is useless to me.
