Skip Mode Not Working

I have a TiVo Roamio; suddenly skip mode seems to have stopped working. When I start a show I get the "Skip Mode is available...press D" message, but when I hit it nothing happens--just get the "bong" noise like it's not working.

Anybody else have this? Any fixes/suggestions? Or should I contact tech support? [emoji37]
