Software recommendation to combine SD and HD footage

Hi, can anyone recommend software that will let me combine HD and SD videos taken from my Tivo? Looking for Mr. Goodbar aired on TCM last night but was missing some scenes, and I want to create a master with as much HD as possible. thanks
