Well almost 20 years as a DirectV customer and their pricing is killing me -- now almost $205 for their premier pack with 5 receivers (three HR21/HR24s and 2 H21). Tired of calling DTV for discounts.
I have had Comcast for 2 years as my internet provider. First month I had issues, but once the got my levels fixed (I was hot) -- it has run with zero resets/failures.
Yesterday one of their sales person offered a 2 year package double play for around $140 (without the added outlets). Considering I am paying $80 for Blast 105, the bundle would be nice -- if go with triple play for $10 more -- I can cut my POTS line - which is another $60/month.
What I am thinking about Roamio Pro in the Family/Media room, and a Bolt in the Master Bed. 3 Mini's in the Home Office , living and guest bed. I have an Ethernet port in the media room so I can create the MoCA for the minis through the Roamio Pro.
I have 4 coax runs in each room so I can run both DTV and Comcast/TIVO in parallel for a bit.
Would appreciate any suggestions to make my transition easier.
