I have run into a strange problem.
I have 3 different Tivo devices, with at least 2 of them running 20.6.1
I have an Asus RT-66U router running DD-WRT since Jan 15.
A few weeks ago, on the Premiere, I started seeing a message that said "Tivo could not connect to the internet" or some variation of that.
Today, all of my guide data was gone. Apparently, since 6/24, my Premiere has been unable to access the Tivo service.
So, I try to check the Tivo network settings, and lo and behold the Tivo cannot connect to DHCP on my router. I try replacing the cable, still no luck. I then plug the cable into a different wall plug port entirely, stealing it from a working Ouya that is running CM11. (and I know that device has internet because I was using Kodi 2 nights ago) Still no dice! So I pull all the cables out of the back of the premiere and take it upstairs to swap it with my other Tivo device.
So I go upstairs to my Roamio Plus, and that ALSO is showing no guide and a last update of 6/24, same as the premiere. This is also using a wired ethernet connection. I go through the same steps, and I get the same bad luck result.
I then reboot the router, no luck. Factory reset, no luck. I'm pretty confident it's not the router because dhcp seems to work fine for every other device in the house not named Tivo.
Thinking that the mini and it's MOCA connection could be causing problems, I unplugged that entirely. After removing the Mini from the equation, the Roamio got marginally better on a reboot, acquiring an IP address from the router. When I attempted to connect to Tivo, however, it died on the second step, stating it could not locate the gateway. At this point, it drops off my router's LAN client list.
I removed the MOCA from the network settings so it's only using wired ethernet, still no good. I put in a static IP, still no good. I reboot my router again, STILL nothing.
I'm completely baffled here. The router-tivo combo have been running without issue since I installed the router years ago. The router has no issue with my windows pcs or android set top boxes, or any other device such as iphone, ipad, etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm planning on walking one of the boxes over to my neighbors house tomorrow just to see what happens. I'm also going to try and borrow a different router just for kicks, although I don't think that it the problem.
Sorry for the long post, I'm just completely confused here and I'm trying to dump as much infor as possible.
