Premier rebooting when attempting MRV

I have an original 2 tuner Premier that I bought new and put a 2TB WD Green in from day one. I have never had an issue with this unit until recently. Ever since the latest software (the one that fixed MRV) I get reboots when I attempt to transfer a recording from another TiVo or my computer.

It does not reboot under any other circumstances. Is it just an old worn out HDD?
