any way to tell how long a tivo has been in service?

I have a refurb 4-tuner Premiere that I got off woot.com. I am subscribing to it monthly and all is working good. I am looking to maybe get it lifetimed. Is there any way of finding out how long this tivo has truly been in service (to then maybe get a discount on lifetime)?
