I have a TiVo series 3 HD dual tuner. Recently when I change the channel live tv or fast forward a recorded show the audio playing at that time stutter repeats and gets stuck for about 3 to 5 seconds. If I change back to the main menu it stops then going back to the channel or program the video and audio work fine. I should say that there is no issues with the video except that the audio won't match when this happens. It also happens if I pause as well the audio will keep going but the picture stops.
I have had this DVR since the series 3 came out on the market.
I though it was the hard drive. We replace the old drive today with a 500 GB western digital drive.
The old drive did die and would not let me clone it. We used instant cake to rebuild a new drive. That is all working well and is reset up but the audio problem persists.
The only thing left for me to replace is the clock battery.
What is causing this issue and what can I do about it?
