I received an email today stating that Video On Demand for Comcast customers was FINALLY AVAILABLE in my area!!!!!
I've been waiting for this for a couple of years. I went straight to my TiVo and YEP... IT'S THERE!
I live in Dover, Delaware about 70 miles away from Philadelphia... but I would guess this is now available in Philly too.
I was thinking we were never going to get it.
This will definitely save us money because that big stupid cable box that we pay $10 a month is going the heck back. The only reason we kept it on one of the TV's was because it was the only way to access VOD... now we can just add another TiVo Mini. Not only are we being charged for that box, but I believe they are also charging us something like $7.50 for the Multi Media Card or whatever it's called that goes in our XL4 because we were told that the card would have been free however we have a box so it negates the free card. Or some BS like that.
Anyway... good day... just wanted to pass it along in case people didn't notice the email in their inbox. Actually, I wouldn't have noticed it in my regular gmail inbox because it's labeled under the 'promotions' tab. I only noticed it because it was visible on my iphone.
