Anyone still fighting with these V53 errors? I see several V53 problem threads on here, but no mention of its effect on recordings. I have one channel that occasionally encounters these floating V53 error messages and stops recording content during the error (recording light stays on). Whats frustrating is if I switch to live viewing, the audio/video behind the error dialog appears perfect!
My suspicion is I have a service with intermittent signal problems and the Tivo software is not very robust in handling and recovering from the signal glitch. To get rid of the message I have to stop the recording, move the tuner off the channel and then back on it.
I have a Premier XL4, with Cox cable service. Whats interesting is I never had this problem with my Series 3 box, which I replaced with the Premier several months ago. I'm starting to miss that old box...
