How far can you throttle the Discovery Bar?

I have a 2 year old and we have our Roamio grab a few PBS shows for him. Of course, the damn Discovery Bar suggests Disney content, etc., that we "might like." He doesn't understand that when he sees Mickey, or Doc McStuffins, or whatever, atop the screen that we can't watch that RIGHT NOW. So, I went into the settings and unchecked everything except My Shows. Problem solved, right?



Nope, I'm still seeing suggestions in the Discovery Bar that's not on our HD. "The Interview," I don't mind so much, but it's flashed some kids shows, too, over the last week or so.



Is this a bug or a revenue-generating "feature?"
