I'm having networking issues setting up my MoCa network. I have a base roamio so I need two MoCa adapters. I have the first adapter in my office where my modem is connected. The second is near my Roamio box in the living room.
I plug the ethernet coming out of the MoCa adapter into my netgear nighthawk router, and the run a line from the router into the roamio. The box can connect to the Internet fine but our mini can't connect to the TiVo.
If I plug the roamio ethernet directly from the MoCa box (not using our router) the mini connects fine. I can hook the router up to our modem and then run a line to the MoCa adapter and it works but I was hoping to be able to move our router to the living room which is more central to the house.
Is there some setting I have to enable on the router to get it to work or does the roamio have to be directly plugged into the MoCa bridge?
