I suspect the Doorman deal does not go through after somebody spends 30 seconds on the UPS website and discovers that they already offer different delivery options.
When I have something expensive being delivered, I don't think I want to install a middleman into the process. Otherwise, 95+% of the shipments I get are delivered by UPS or the USPS and are waiting for me when I get home. UPS even drops them at my back door per my "My Choice" preferences. FedEx will redirect to a FedEx Office location close to my workplace when a signature is required.
It seems like this shrinks the customer base down to homes where carriers have decided that packages can't be safely dropped. I was surprised to see him get a deal.
