Cutting the Cord with Help

Hi, You have all been very helpful.. so here's my story question.


I have a tivo roamio pro plus and about to buy a Mini for guest room.
I have Lifetime.

I moved to new city and signed up with Xfinity (Comcast) and have the triple play. So now I think I am ready to lose the landline and Cable? Or am I?
I am renting their Modem until I figure out what to buy on my own.
Here's what I want:

network TV-CBS, NBC, ABC ( not same day or live)
Ability to watch same day evening news.. any channel
Cable TV shows: FX, AMC, CNN, MSNBC, CBS
There are specific shows I watch: Not all shows are needed.
HBO:.Showtime (Again specific shows)
Netflix
Award shows...Globes, Emmys, Tonys.

Should I list the shows I watch rather than the stations?
