I hooked up my attic antenna (HD7694P) to my new Tivo Box last night, set it up, and turns out the channels I can see on my TV without problems barely make it through the Tivo box. What's going on, is the tivo tuner so bad? How do i fix it?
My set up: Attic antenna (Winegard HD7694P) -> coax to my junction box/distributor (the house came pre-wired with coax, cat5 etc) -> coax wire to my TV and the rest of the rooms -> Tivo Box
If I connect my cheap Vizio TV directly it gets good signal for all the channels i'm interested in. No pixelation, everything looks great. But the tivo barely works.
Here's my tvfool report: http://ift.tt/21r6E03
Other questions:
If I buy a pre-amp where in the chain of coax cables/splitters do I install it?
If I were to adjust the antenna can I do it while live tv is playing to see the change in signal quality? Or do I adjust and then re-scan with the Tivo after each adjustment?
