e03 error sort of fixed

Here is the problem. The hard drive on my tivo hd was randomly locking up. I sent it to weak knees and they replaced the drive and repaired the power supply on it. They also copied the data from the old drive to the new drive. When I got it back and told it to connect to the tivo network (to get the new program listing) it gave me an e03 error. I disconnected the wireless network adapter and the tuning adapter from the usb ports on the back of the tivo and left it over night. The next day under system information the GC date had finally updated to the current date. (so far so good)

the problem is that in the to do list it only had shows out for 3 days. The program guide went out a LOT longer then that.

If i pressed the tivo button and went under find programs and then chose search. Even pressing the letter A it would return no programs found.

so obviously there is a disconnect somewhere.
the tivo can connect to the tivo network.
but the wishlists that i have set up only go out for a few days.

i even tried rebooting and that didn't help.

so out of desperation i said let's re-run guided setup.

i chose the wireless network and the cable company that i have.

now it is sitting on
Getting program info
at the spot of
Preparing...
which it has been doing for about a half hour now.

i am about ready to punch something.

what should i have done instead of re-running guided setup.

and second what might be wrong that is causing all these problems?

EDIT: while i was typing this up it did finally get through the preparing step and it is now at the bottom of the list of "Loading"
