I just completed an upgrade of my OEM TiVo Roamio OTA Hard Drive with a Western Digital WD80EZZX 8TB using the MFS Reformatter Version 1.0.0.4 - worked like a charm.
I have always put my TiVo into standby before going to bed as that kills the front lights while I sleep. What happens now when I turn the TiVo on is that the blue screen flashes "waking up" and then shortly after reboots as if it had been unplugged from power. Everything works fine after that, no issues to report at all.
I listened closely to the new hard drive before waking up the TiVo and it sounds like it is coming out of sleep mode as I can hear it start to spin up when I press the TiVo button on the remote. While it starts to spin up during the "waking up" screen displaying, it reboots.
Not sure if this is because the spin-up is taking too long and the TiVo times out or if this is another issue with using a hard drive of this size.
If anyone else has experienced this type of behavior, I would appreciate any feedback. I guess for now I can just leave it on.
BTW - I have my power saving mode set to Off.
