Tivo series 2 TCD540040 disk crash w/ no backup

Believe it or not i'm still or was using a tivo series 2 dvr and the hard drive has crashed. I'm unable to access the drive from either linux or windows using external USB enclosure, (it's toast) and was wondering if anyone might have an image i could load onto a new drive. I've search for TCD540040 image on internet with no success.
i have a tiVo lifetime service on the device and any help would be delightful.
