HUGHES DVR80 dying???

Hello, how everyone doing? Looking for a little help.

It seems my last activated, zippered Hughes DVR80 has died.

It's been down to one tuner for years and is used primarily in

the garage on a SD tv.

2 weeks ago, while watching a game, the DVR80 started to

restart on it's own. I unplugged it for a few minutes and was able

to get going for about a hour once. Currently, it gets a far as the

"Welcome, Powering Up" screen.

What's strange, it's not the normal

gray screen with the "Welcome Powering up" in the middle. It's sort

of has a black/white lines (Interference) look. I've never seen this before.

I thought it might be the power supply since the hard drive seemed to be powering up and spinning and wasn't making any noticeable sounds. I removed the power supply from a working zippered Hughes Hdvr2 that I've been using to watch archived shows. With the working power supply in the DVR80, I still get the same strange interference looking powering up screen. I've tried changing the hard drive cable, power supply cable but still the same. I even replaced the current drive with the original factory drive and no luck.

MOBO maybe? Any ideas? If the zippered drive was bad wouldn't

the factory drive power up with a working power supply? Any help,

tips, or idea's would be appreciated.

Would it be possible to move the drive from the DVR80 (if working)

to the HDVR2 and access the recorded shows? Both were

zippered and networked drives. I've given up on be able use the DVR80

as a activated receiver, but would like to have another shot at

saving some of the 200+ hours I had archived on it.

Thanks for your time, any help would be appreciated.

Thank you
