Was anyone else still watching this?
I almost gave up last season, but saw it through to the end. This season was actually pretty good...no where near as good as the first couple seasons, but some good laugh out loud moments.
Last night was the series finale...
My thoughts before watching was that he was either going to end up with Karen in the end, or end up dead. Considering this was always a comedy and romance, my expectation was for him to end up with Karen in the end which did happen, but I thought it wasn't handled that well. Flying off in the plane together shouldn't have been the end.....They've gotten back together and broken up so many times, I think it needed to be more permanant. (Wasn't it the end of the 1st season where she jumps in his car with Becca and Hank in her wedding dress and drives off?)
What I would have liked to have seen is that after they got on the plane and he was sitting next to her, that they then show a montage of their future, set to music..them getting to NY, getting married, having another baby, him having a new best selling book, etc....something to show that this was a change of life for him permanantly verses another short, screwed up chapter in in life.
Fun show at times, totally messed up at times, but worth the time to watch.
