I’ve been a longtime TiVo fan. I’ve had the Directivo, an S3 HD, and now have just upgraded to the Roamio Plus.
I wanted to express my gratitude to the team who developed this product. It satisfies so many of my longtime wishes for what a TiVo could be. On the short list: RF remote, remote finder, fast clean interface, PIP menus, streaming to iOS (sorry androids), 6 tuners, easy HD upgrade, mini replacing cable rentals.
The innovation of autoconfiguring hard drives added to the machine is my favorite new feature. Manually upgrading both the Directivo (remember telnetting in thru the serial port???) and the HD was a chore. That is one smart dev team.
Do I wish I could stream direct to my computers as well as iOS devices? Of course I do. I also hope our android brothers and sisters get to the promised land as we 🍎 folk have. I wish that kmttg could download faster. 90 Mbps is sure nicer than my HD's 10 Mbps, but the green light on my gigabit switch says we could do better.
