I have a strange set of circumstances and am not sure what to make of it. I have a Roamio Plus that's roughly 5 months old and two Minis. The Minis are connected via LAN and I have a Cable Card in the Roamio. We had storms last night and this morning I couldn't get any channel signals on my kitchen/Mini TV. I figured the storm must have knocked cable out in the neighborhood and thought nothing of it.
Tonight when I got home there still wasn't any signal. I investigated and discovered my cable amplifier/booster was out and bypassed it. That restored the cable signal in the house. Now for the weird part: I can access the Roamio tuners via both Minis in my house. The Minis are communicating with the Roamio and I can change channels and access and play recordings. The cable card is working. I cannot get any video output, however, from the Roamio. When I tune my basement TV to the Roamio input I get nothing but a blank screen. I tried my BluRay player to make sure it wasn't my TV that was fried, and got a perfect picture. I unplugged the Roamio to effect a reset several times and still get a blank screen. The Roamio is connected to the TV via HDMI.
Is it possible for the Roamio to function perfectly "internally" and yet have no video output? Has anyone encountered anything like I describe? Is my Roamio dead? Any help or suggestions is much appreciated. Thanks.
