bogus error trying to play a show

I have recorded 9 episodes of the series of Masterpiece Classic Mr. Selfridge. I watched and deleted 5 of them. Epiisode 6 that I went to watch last night came up with this error:

"Error Playing a Recording. The TiVo box was not able to record this program because there was no video signal on the channel. You may have been trying to record on a channel that you don't receive."

Ditto Episode 7, 8, 9. Not very likely to have the exact same "signal error" 4 sundays in a row for one hour each time!!!

I found a couple of ancient threads that blamed that error on a proverbial "software glitch". I know the signal was fine and everything else has recorded fine. Sunday nights in May was a busy recording time for my Tivo!

Here's the interesting part. I decided to try it from my Mini in the bedroom and Episode 6 (at least) played just fine!

I was going to reboot the tivo but I don't want to re-set whatever state the mini is in. I like it the way it is. I have trouble staying awake watching TV in the bedroom but I'll try to finish the series there before I reboot the main set.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? Super weird!

I also thought I may try to see if I can watch the shows from my PC via MyTivo or tivo-to-go or whatever it is. It's been a long time since I've used that...

btw, this is a 3-year old Premier and no recent updates as far as I can tell. Don't they usually reboot and make you read a message after an update?
