Wow, I never thought I'd find a TiVo error that I can't find with a Google search, but that time has come!
My mom's TiVo XL (with Lifetime) hard drive died, and I had an extra TiVo HD drive, so I installed it in the XL.
After a "Clear and Delete Everything" (which took hours), it returned to Guided Setup.
Here's the "new" error: In Guided Setup, I selected Antenna Only and entered the ZIP code.
After downloading and loading the data, it returned the error: "No information exists about antenna channels for ZIP Code xxxxx. You'll need to use a different ZIP Code. Try a neighboring community that might have the same or similar channels."
No matter what ZIP Code I enter, even other cities and states, it returns the same error. If I select Cable, it returns a similar error saying no cable providers were found.
I tried rebooting, same issue. The antenna is connected.
I can't figure out for the life of me what's wrong. I'm not the biggest TiVo expert, but I've been an avid user since 2000, and have replaced hard drives, etc... this one has me stumped; I clearly need a higher level of expertise!
THANK YOU in advance to the Community for any help or ideas! Let me know what other info you need from me.
