Amazon Prime Video - FF (no video)

I just signed up for my 30 day trial of Amazon Prime which includes a lot of video content. Tonight I was watching Bosch and wanted to FF a bit. Well, it did move forward but there was no video as the FF was happening - just the original scene sitting there. There is a time counter that gets updated but you can't see when to stop by looking at the picture. My 30 year old VHS did better than this.

Anybody know if this has always been that way or any plans to fix this?
