Best save format when using videoRedo

Every so often I take the time to transfer recordings from my Tivo's to my PC. Then use VideoRedo to edit them. I can never remember the correct format to save the files in so that I can play them back on my TivoHD and Bolt+ and also load them onto my tablet. I keep selecting the wrong format and end up with video but no sound. I know I have some in mpg4 and some in mpg2 saved that work. But there are sub formats such as mpg2 program stream or transport stream, that throw me off. I would...
