Upgraded my home Tivo network which freed up a series 3 652... Unit for use at a condominium I have in Emerald Isle, NC zip 28575. Contacted TW and was told I could pick up cable card and tuning adapter at Newport office. Drive down from VA and stop at Time Warner Newport since it is somewhat on the way. Ask customer service agent for M card and tuning adapter. Customer Service Agent, while professional and polite, has NO knowledge of 1) what a Tivo is 2) what an M Card is 3) what a tuning adapter is. After much unsatisfying conversation, CS rep says they don't have cards or adapters there and will need to order a truck roll for 4 pm tomorrow. 4 pm comes and goes and I do a "chat" with TW and am informed tech is running behind, will I be available 5-7 pm? Fine I say. Tech calls at 6:30 and says can we make It tomorrow and I say no. He comes by and says he doesn't have a tuning adapter or a cable card as he just got the service ticket an hour ago. Further, while he wants to be helpful and is profusely apologetic, he has never heard of an M Card or a tuning adapter! At this point I am thinking maybe I am in Mozambique or speaking a foreign language. Help needed: anybody in this part of the country who has had success getting an HD tivo connected to TW and if so, has any good names/ telephone numbers to contact? Any kind of TW ombudsman to contact for help when their employees are clueless?
